The late 20th century was a renaissance for modern art. Great artists from all fields such as Robert Mapplethorpe, Peter Beard, Andy Warhol, Tony Shafrazi and many more changed the art game in New York, and the lifestyle photographer Christophe Von Hohenberg captured all of that.
In his book “Another Planet: New York Portraits, 1976-1996” is a vast collection of famous faces who shaped the New York culture. It was a New York that was distinct, with creative freedom boundless.
Revisit the time and check out Von Hohenberg’s on-going exhibition Another Planet: Photographs of the New York Art World at the Anders Wahlstedt Fine Art in New York.
The show will run through Dec. 1.
