Biography

Melissa Meyer (B. 1946, New York) lives and works in New York City. The Wall Street Journal has referred to her as a "lighthearted Abstract Expressionist." Solo Exhibitions include Lennon Weinberg Gallery, NY, Elizabeth Harris Gallery, NY, Holly Solomon Gallery, NY , Rebecca Abel Gallery, Columbus, OH, Renee Ziegler Gallery, Zurich, Switzerland, and many others. Group Exhibitions include The Jewish Museum, New York, The National Academy of Design, NY, Texas Gallery, Houston, TX and most recently the artist was included in the Group Exhibit titled Inspired Encounters: Women artists and the legacies of modern art at the David Rockefeller Creative Arts Center. Her work is included in numerous permanent collections, such as: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, The Brooklyn Museum, NY, The Solomon R.
